…Of Levin! Who would have thought it? My dressmaker Annette from had suggested going to the factory that makes and sells merino and knit fabrics as it’s in Levin not too far away. Why not? Sensory overload (there is a theme here) and choosing just one is harder than you think! 

Trawling through antique stores, thrift shops and the likes of Save Mart is my kind of day. Lunch was unexpectedly good at what I think is Mr Bun’s Bakery and Coffee Shop on Oxford Street in Levin. Seafood chowder made from scratch you could taste every vegetable and piece of seafood in it and a very hearty serving always goes down a treat. Macaroni cheese was an outstanding choice too on behalf of Lee, my partner is crime today’s shopping expedition.

Tomorrow- time in Hutt Valley for some whanau time and viewing of newly acquired art by Rich…
